1935 Ford Roadster Convertible Vehicle Specification
Upon returning from WWII, Ralph purchased this ’35 Ford Roadster, and began turning it into a mild custom and finally finishing the car in 1950. Ralph was an Aviation Mechanic for Hughes Aircraft and help multiple tether car and airplane speed records. The car was found in almost, as-is condition in 2002. Modifications include” 2″ Chopped top and windshield, ’36 Ford rear fenders, ’39 Ford taillights, ’41 Ford bumpers, ’40 Ford engine (flat head V8) and transmission (3 speed manual), Columbia 2-Speed Rear, ’40 Ford steering column, ’50 Chrysler Butterfly Blue. Featured in Pat Ganahls book “Lost Hot Rods” and Rod & custom’s 2011 “Little Pages” issue.
